What happens next

From first call to first session

  1. Consultation

A Breakthrough Leader contacts you to schedule the initial meeting at the primary therapy location.

At the consultationYou'll meet your Breakthrough Leader, ask your questions, and review our Service Agreement, responsibilities, payment information and insurance details.
  2. Observation & assessment

Your Breakthrough Leader observes your child and creates a personalized program based on their strengths, needs and behavior patterns.

  3. Behavior plan

You receive a behavior intervention plan in your online Breakthrough Journal and in a physical Breakthrough Binder for home.

  4. Insurance & scheduling

We help obtain insurance authorization, then schedule your Breakthrough Team around the hours your Breakthrough Leader recommends and your family's schedule.

  5. Therapy begins

Sessions are supervised in real time, and each month your Breakthrough Leader meets with you to review progress and update goals.

Common first questions

See all 24 questions
What age group do you provide therapy for?

We work with a wide range of ages, from first diagnosis (a little over a year old) to adolescence.

Where can I go to get my child diagnosed?

A diagnosis for autism should be completed by a licensed neurologist or psychologist. At times, pediatricians and child psychiatrists can also diagnose. Your child's pediatrician can tell you more.

How easy will it be to start a program?

Starting an in-home ABA program is a big change for your family's routine. It takes time to get used to, and after a few months it becomes part of your day.

What if my insurance changes?

Let us know as soon as possible so we can get a new authorization. With your consent, therapy can continue while the new approval is pending.
