“Dear Brett and Claudia (BCBA 01-09-5064, unsolicited testimonial), My words cannot articulate how grateful my husband and I are that we found Fresh Starts for our son J.D. I realize that until a person goes through the process themselves one cannot fully grasp or understand the impact on all levels that a diagnosis of Autism has on all of the family members; however, you and your staff empathize with family members and better yet provide the vital skills needed to combat such a enigmatic disease. From the very first phone call I made, Brett, founder of FreshStarts, answered all my questions so eloquently and explained the program and steps needed, to Claudia’s informational phone call, to Taylor’s expertise with insurance billing and payments questions, down to the most important piece our therapist, Candace. Candace has been a God send to the D family. She along with Claudia’s guidance and expertise has brought J.D. out of his escape mode and living in the present moment with us. Is he fully recovered? Not yet, but my husband and I truly believe he has made tremendous strides with FreshStarts Behavioral Therapy. My only regret is that I did not start using your services sooner. (pt 1 of 3)
Prior to obtaining your company’s services J.D. would not respond to his name, had extremely poor eye contact, flapped his hands when he got excited, tip toe walked, and put everything in his mouth. Wait! Let’s not forget we had to strap him in a high chair to contain him so we could feed him. In less than three months his eye contact is almost 100%, he responds to his name from any distance, he no longer flaps his hands, but claps when he is upset or happy. Furthermore, Candace taught us new techniques to extinguish the tip toe walking and mouthing which work with redirection and J.D. self corrects immediately on request. Additionally, I did not even mention that his language skills, what little he had, had ceased; Now due to the therapist working on phonics with him we are hearing the “mama”, “baba”, “gaga”, “mm”, “dada” and he says words that closely resemble the word we are requesting and these are the sounds we heard prior to his diagnosis. This is more than we could have imagined or ask for. (pt.2 of 3)
FreshStarts Behavioral Therapy is without a doubt an organization that every parent who has a child with Autism should consider trying. It is worth every penny and then some. Fortunately, our insurance covered most of the cost, but I can honestly say I would still have used your company and paid out of pocket as it has been worth every cent. As a result of J.D. working with your therapist my husband and I see the light at the end of the tunnel. We know we will get there and we cannot thank you all enough for what you have done to help J.D. and our family. We will definitely keep in touch with J.D.’s progress and please let us know if Fresh Starts ever expands to the St. Louis area. The D family is FreshStarts Behavioral Therapy’s biggest fan! With much gratitude, K.D. ” (pt. 3 of 3)
“ABA therapy accounts for 45% of therapies that develop long-lasting and observable results according to the Surgeon General’s autism treatment report”
“Nothing I say here will fully capture what this means to our family. Thank You to Rosa, Claudia, and the entire FreshStarts team! I hope you and everyone else involved in my daughters care acknowledge the great job you have done and let it fill you up to continue helping other families.” R.P.”
“In a 1987 study, Ivar O. Lovaas compared the results of a control group to that of young children with autism who received ABA therapy. Results indicated that with 40 hours of ABA therapy a week for several years 90% of participants substantially improved, some even to normal intellectual functioning compared to the control group.”
“(Claudia Jimenez BCBA 01-09-5064- unsolicited) I have known FreshStarts and its team members for over seven months. We have had nothing but the best experience working with the Leaders and team members. Everyone has been utmost professional and helpful. Our son has completely changed since we first started thanks to his Breakthrough Leaders and Partners. From our first conversation we have felt that FreshStarts truly cared about us and our son’s progress. Any questions or concerns we have are promptly answered that day. We hope to continue to have this wonderful relationship with FreshStarts for as long as possible.” T.C.
“Studies have indicated that approximately 50% of individuals with autism who receive ABA services before the age of four show a significant increase in IQ, verbal skills, and social functioning””
“(Isabella Izquierdo, Parent Training Coordinator; unsolicited)
Just wanted to let you know that we just finished our last session with Isabel and I wanted to tell you how happy I’ve been with her. She was amazing. Always on time, eager to help, full of insights and great advice and sometimes even leaving late and didn’t mind always going above and beyond with handouts, information and great advice.”
“Failure is not always a mistake, it may simply be the best one can do under the circumstances. The real mistake is to stop trying.” B. F. Skinner
