Two kinds of programs

25–40+ hours a week

Comprehensive ABA Treatment

An intensive early intervention program that helps bridge developmental gaps and supports children in reaching milestones alongside their peers.

  • 25–40+ hours per week of 1:1 therapy
  • Adaptive skills, language development, safety skills and social relationships
  • Reducing interfering behaviors to support long-term progress

Goal: evidence-based support that helps your child reach their full potential.

Under 25 hours a week

Focused ABA Treatment

Targets specific areas of need. Often a good fit after a child completes a Comprehensive program.

  • Programs under 25 hours per week
  • Immediate goals like toilet training, verbal behavior or reducing challenging behaviors

Goal: address specific priorities with proven strategies.

What therapy looks like

Your child works one-on-one with a dedicated Breakthrough Partner, a Registered Behavior Technician, following the behavior plan your Breakthrough Leader writes. Sessions happen at home, at our center, at schools that allow us in, and in the community.

Real-time supervision

Every session is closely supervised by your Breakthrough Leader to make sure therapy is implemented correctly.

Session videos

Sessions are recorded and highlights are uploaded to your online Breakthrough Journal, so you can follow progress from anywhere.

Generalization

We teach your child to use what they learn in therapy in real-life situations, so skills carry over to everyday places.

Monthly follow-up

Each month your Breakthrough Leader meets with you to review data, celebrate accomplishments and update goals.

Your child's Breakthrough Team

Every child's therapy is supported by two Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or Assistant Analysts (BCaBAs), called Breakthrough Leaders, and a dedicated Breakthrough Partner (RBT).

  • Breakthrough Leaders hold Master's degrees and passed the BCBA board exam
  • Breakthrough Partners hold at least a Bachelor's degree and the RBT credential
  • Weekly team meetings, plus the Trustee Group® for consultation

Skills for everyday life

We work where your child lives the day: routines at home, sessions at our center, alongside teachers at school, and on walks or at nearby parks with your consent. Your behavior plan is always available in your Breakthrough Journal and in a physical Breakthrough Binder at home.

Every child is different. We set goals with you, measure progress and share it every month; we don't promise specific outcomes.

Insurance coverage

Both Comprehensive and Focused ABA programs are covered by most major insurance providers. We work with a wide range of private insurance companies and help with authorization before therapy starts.

Questions about ABA therapy

How many hours a week is a typical program?

The number of hours is recommended by your Breakthrough Leader case by case. Comprehensive programs are 25–40+ hours a week; Focused programs are under 25.

Will my child have one therapist?

Your child will have one or two Breakthrough Team members for ongoing therapy and two Breakthrough Leaders who oversee the program, update the behavior plan and perform assessments.

Do I have to be present for therapy?

You don't have to be in the same room, but an approved adult caretaker must be in the house during therapy.

Can therapy happen at night or on weekends?

Yes. We try to match your preferred times with our team's availability, including nights and weekends. Flexibility helps on both sides.
